I can’t believe how fast time is flying! It seems like summer just started…maybe that’s because we had a delay in the sunshine factor in PDX this year. But, with only a few weeks left until back to school and several of our high school senior clients flying to coop to start their first year in college, time has flown by. Especially for this little guy who weighed a mere 6 pounds at birth and is now ready to start training for motorcross with his daddy and uncle! Such a cutie and a lady killer – mom and dad already have to watch out because he is so dang independent but yeah, he’s a looker – AND he knows it! Happy Birthday big guy! Hope you had fun with family in L.G.!
Meet Amanda – again! We just wrapped up the on-location portion of her session last week. I can now say I have officially been kicked out of a location! But it wasn’t before I got some killer images during Amanda’s session – so I am very grateful for that. Amanda’s mom came along and was an awesome assistant. I love it when moms just magically pick up the ins and outs of reflector holding without a hitch! Amanda….there are so many images to show, it was hard to pick just a few to put up on the blog! Enjoy your sneak peek! Oh, and if any of you are from Camas HS and in the graduating Class of 2011….talk to Amanda to get an amazing deal!

This is round III for Alexxa! Her second photo shoot was a promo shoot for my intro video that is still in the works. Between my schedule and Gobo Media’s schedule, we’ve been a bit behind the 8 ball in getting that promo video done. But in the mean time, I’ve been having fun this summer with all the seniors that have been coming my way. Alexxa was once again, so easy to work with and we had a chance to catch up on all her summer happenings. As one of the Finalists for Miss America Outstanding Teen, she has been pretty busy with making appearances all summer, in addition to visiting different college campuses and getting ready to prepare all of the intricate details required in for the college application process. On top of that, she’s still finding time to enjoy her summer before she returns to finish her senior year at Oregon Episcopal School. Here’s a quick sneak peek! Alexxa I had a blast once again!

Yikes! Jem and I went out for her photo shoot in mid-June before she took off for the Philippines for a killer internship with Nike. She was looking forward to being able to work with several of the sports teams as well as none other than Kobe Bryant! Well, fast forward…I think she should be close to done with her internship and soon on her way home. I will update this post later with more details. Jem was a TRUE sport. I think it’s the first time that one of my senior clients has been put in so many precariously odoriferous shooting locations all around the Pearl District! From food waste to others not to be mentioned, Jem pretty much did it all! Thank you for being such a good sport. With her senior year ahead of her and a future graduate of the Class of 2011 at Westview High School, I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know this Model Rep of mine over the past several months. Jem, enjoy the rest of your time in PI!

One of the biggest challenges that plagues moms prior to photo shoots is “what should we wear?” My common answer is – “I like color” and…”look at the front of a J.Crew catalog. Nobody ‘matches’ but they are all wearing something that complements each other.” No, you don’t have to ‘buy’ the clothes from J. Crew but at least that will help you get started on the road to inspiration. The other thing I also suggest is pick one person/child’s outfit that will stand out and then pull colors from that outfit that will complement it. So…easy, right?
Well, not exactly. My friend Angie and I have been talking about doing a photo shoot with her kids for well over a year now. And no…it hasn’t taken her a year to get the kids’ wardrobe together. But I was excited when we finally worked this all out. She did an awesome job with picking out the kids clothes and we found a killer location to shoot at too! On top of all that, the kids did a great job and I had a blast! Enjoy your sneak peek!
