a circle’s round, and has no end

Yesterday was a day of both joy and sadness. Joy as it was the last day of school and the beginning of summer vacation. Sadness because it was the last day of a milestone year of kindergarten for our daughter and the last day of preschool that she/we have grown to know and love over the past 3 years. In addition, it was also the last day of daycare for our son at the in-home care where he has grown and developed his independence.

Over the past 3 years, we’ve attended end of the year parties for our daughter’s preschool. During the program, the children sing songs that they’ve learned, the older kids (from after school care), perform plays and before the end of the program, there’s an end of the year video retrospect that the children and their families watch during dessert.  For the past 3 years, I’ve helped out with producing it and found it hard to imagine a year without Country Kids next year. However, as the song goes….”Make new friends, but keep the old. Some are silver and the others gold. A circle’s round and has no end. That’s how long I want to be your friend.”

I promised I’d post this online. So, here it is.

(A quick technical note: For those of you have seen the previous slideshows I’ve produced, the motion has been a stop action movie effect with several still images. This time, there’s a combo of both video and still images) Here are links to previous slideshows posted on the old Dimples blog.
