Wow…what a weekend! I didn’t actually check the paper or any of the publications on Sunday morning to see what the hottest temp was on Saturday, but I know we were expected to have triple digits on Saturday.
One of my good friends, Tanya and I had planned a little urban photo session with her son Carter for Sunday but a few last minute changes and we were out in the heat on Saturday afternoon in downtown Portland. Now I’m really glad we went out Saturday instead of Sunday. I think about the same time we went out on Sunday, thunder clouds had rolled in just as my family and I had packed it up from the pool and headed home. I am pretty sure we would have been out in clouds yesterday afternoon if we had kept to our original time.
Now, before you check out these photos of Carter, I need to put a little plug here for Tanya. Although, she doesn’t really need any help. We’ve known each other for a little over 8 years – just before this guy was born. Through our professional careers, Tanya and I have overlapped in our interests.
