Somewhere in the depths of my hard drives…and my brain, this Portland family portrait session somehow got lost on the radar for blog post-dome. But…alas, it has made it to the top of the list and we’re back on track with getting some air time for this sweet family. I was told on the morning of our shoot, just as we were getting started that mom almost cancelled the session but I’m really glad she didn’t. Our sunny days this year have been few and far between and we hit the perfect day, at the perfect time with a party of 6 and a barrel full of laughs! Enjoy your sneak peek!

Well, it’s been hit or miss with weather here in Portland this year, but fortunately, for my clients (and me!) we’ve been graced with some really beautiful days for portraits. Jack turned “one” in August and we postponed his commemorative photo shoot by a few weeks but I’m really glad we did. He’s such a happy baby and I can’t believe he’s already a year old now. Wow! Where has the time gone? We’re already well in to October & I’m finally getting a chance to post some new sneak peeks from sessions in September! It’s been great to have a break in between senior shoots to have some fun with babies & pups! This little guy celebrated his 1st birthday in early September! Happy (belated) Birthday Orion! He was so much fun right off the bat…and his pup was the most well behaved lab I’ve ever seen! I had blast with you guys (no pun intended– there are a ton of great images from your session. Wow! I can’t believe it’s already been a year and Mr. O is now a year old. They have been one of my families participating in our first year Baby Plan. You can check out his newborn and 6 month portrait sessions to see how much he’s grown and changed. He is such a cutie! Watch out moms…he is gonna be a lady killer! Mom and dad wanted to do something a little different to commemorate his 1 year portraits so we went to PGE Park for a little afternoon baseball game. Although it was the hottest day of the year in Portland, Owen managed to beat the heat for a brief moment by showing us his belly (see below – some of my favorites shots from this shoot It’s been a blast watching you grow! I recently had the pleasure of returning for Jack’s 6 month session. He’s another one of my lucky members of the Milestone Year Baby Plan. Somehow,  my timing of his sessions always seems to be off but he was still ready
and willing to ham it up for me even though he was ready for a nap by the time we started. He is such a cutie! I love watching how these little newbies change and grow over a year. It goes by way too fast!

This post is LONG overdue. I photographed growing Mr. Owen when he was just a wee newborn and then again just before Thanksgiving right around his 6 month mark. We are making plans for announcing our new ‘Milestones Baby Plan’ and Owen and his family are graciously participating in being the ‘samples’ for this new plan. At any rate, these images were shot just before Thanksgiving and the poor little guy had a bit of a problem with some major diaper rash. As you can see however, this apparently didn’t seem to bother him as long as mom continued to play Justin Timberlake’s, “Bringing Sexy Back”. Owen got his groove thing on and danced like a champ through the photo session.

It’s been a while since I’ve had the opportunity to photograph a baby under the age of 6 months. When I first received an inquiry from this client, I thought we might wait a few months until this little girl was a little more mobile. Fortunately for me, her mom couldn’t wait. And, it’s probably a good thing she didn’t! This little one is going to give her mommy and daddy a run for their money. At the ripe ‘ole age of 4 months, her preference is to be vertical and mobile (on her feet). I hate to say it but she may probably walk before she learns to crawl! 

Surrounded by the sounds of “Coldplay for Babies” (a new find I must go check out) and Nixon *bling*. I had a blast with this family! Baby Lu-lu was so dang cute and I can’t get over her beautiful blue eyes! She has a pet squeaky toy named *Sophie* that unfortunately, because of this name, I continuously called Lucia “Sophie” instead of her real name. Ugh! Bad me! At any rate, I had a wonderful time. Oh yeah, and a BIG congrats to dad for graduating from his MBA program yesterday!
