I don’t know if I mentioned that Sean, one of my Westview Senior Model Reps is very active…both athletically and academically.

When we originally started talking about all the things he does…….lacrosse….surfing and everything in between. We talked about possibly doing some shots at a local skate park. So, I rang him last week to find out if he was still up for doing some skate park shots and he said ‘sure!’. What I didn’t really anticipate is that he was going to tell me to meet him there at 5:30 am! So, we settled on 6 a.m. instead. Little did I know how crowded the skate parks get around here when the weather is decent.

Unfortunately, he rolled his ankle about half an hour into our shoot. Hopefully he’ll be ok for his upcoming vacation, but I think we still got some good shots in just before the ‘incident’.

Wow…what a weekend! I didn’t actually check the paper or any of the publications on Sunday morning to see what the hottest temp was on Saturday, but I know we were expected to have triple digits on Saturday.

One of my good friends, Tanya and I had planned a little urban photo session with her son Carter for Sunday but a few last minute changes and we were out in the heat on Saturday afternoon in downtown Portland. Now I’m really glad we went out Saturday instead of Sunday. I think about the same time we went out on Sunday, thunder clouds had rolled in just as my family and I had packed it up from the pool and headed home. I am pretty sure we would have been out in clouds yesterday afternoon if we had kept to our original time.

Now, before you check out these photos of Carter, I need to put a little plug here for Tanya. Although, she doesn’t really need any help. We’ve known each other for a little over 8 years – just before this guy was born. Through our professional careers, Tanya and I have overlapped in our interests. She’s got some really awesome graphic design work that she’s been cranking out plus some other biz opportunities that she’s working on as well. Check out her site.
